It’s seems like the usual Qantas drink service in the Emirates lounge - none of the usual champagnes.

There was Qantas staff on the check in counter.

This is what I predicted would happen.

I wonder if it will be wet lease style, QF F&B in the EK lounge (in periods where the EK lounge would normally be closed), or regular EK catering?

Ie, will Veuve be on offer?

So it looks like it’s a hybrid sort of emirates food with QF drinks. I guess at 5:30pm this gets replaced with the usual Emirates stuff.

I asked on the way out as I’m on an early departure next week and they said 0400. This was the Qantas desk, not the EK desk.

Yes, but how would you get to it at 04:00 when Immigration doesn't open until 04:30, at the earliest? Unless it's changed quite recently.

Perhaps if you were a transit pax already airside?

Qantas Check in opens at 0330.

It seems to vary. Looking at my photo times, departures screening has definitely opened at 4am as well as 4:30am, with airline check-in opening a while beforehand.

That is true, but Auckland Airport customs don’t open the gates to security and passport control until 4.30, so there is always a mad crush then for the first wave of flights to Australia.

I flew out of Akl yesterday on the 6:15 to Bne.
Agree Qantas should open check-in later.
Was there waiting for customs & passport control to open & ended up getting to the Emirates lounge a little after 5 from memory.
