Guess we now know the chicken came firstSomething with a bit of egg in it would have been good.
They were still serving breakfast at 9:40am etc.
11:30am!!!
I posted previously in the QFF meals thread showing my breakfast served at 12.30pm. Fair enough, the flight was slightly delayed, but breakfast would have been served at 11.30am if flight had departed on time. I thought breakfast at that time of the day was ridiculous - just as lunch at 9.40am is.Flew QF836 MEL DRW today which took off on time at 0910. 30 mins in I was asked by cabin crew what I'd like for lunch, beef or chicken? Lunch!? On a 0910 flight? Something with a bit of egg in it would have been good.
...and that's not just because of turbulence!Of course, on international flights it's all over the place!![]()

I think BNE-PER or SYD-PER is the longest in the domestic system (one of them is blocked at around 5 hours)I *think* MEL-DRW or vice versa is currently QF's longest domestic flight?
That might have a bit to do with it ...

I was asked what I wanted as they were serving it, 0940ESTWhat time was it actually served? I’m guessing closer to 11.
Really don’t want to criticise QF as most airlines are doing the opposite, and lunch is normally a better meal than breakfast on a plane.

Pumpkin ice cream? There is a second offering later in the flight. Usually just an ice cream or similar.
Also the flight is scheduled to land in DRW at 1:10pm, which is 1:40pm, Melbourne time. Quite late for lunch for many.
What is QF supposed to serve? Two meals, maybe?
