Anyone know when the terms changed?

“You are not eligible for this offer if you currently hold or have held an ANZ Frequent Flyer or ANZ Rewards credit card in the last 24 months.”

Geezz, my application got approved back in april . Does anyone know when this terms have changed ? I remember clearly when I applied it was still 12 months !

Far out, this was my next one in line to churn. Extending the lockout to 24 months AND extending it to both QFF and ANZ rewards cards means I’ll go from opening an account this month to opening one in October 2026…

Oh dear. I use my Travel Adventures card as my keeper because has a relatively low fee, no forex charges and great travel insurance. But if that excludes me from Qantas card sign up bonuses then I’m not sure it’s worth it.

I hate the fact I'm considering this but that $1200 Qantas Titanium with 150k points is starting to look quite attractive given recent developments.

Big step towards Points Club Plus (worth a few hundred), large chunk of points, opening it over DSC time might make the 20% status credit bonus worth it and 2 x F lounge invitations for those of us Gold or below.

Well I have cancelled just my Rewards earning ANZ Travel Adventures card. I will use a competitor card now, and still churn the ANZ Qantas card every 2 years.

I looked into this for a relative last year. It appears that you may not be able to double-dip the 20% status credit bonus on top of a DSC offer (and also doesn't help for lifetime status, loyalty bonuses or reaching / keeping P1).

From the T&Cs:

The offer cannot be used to move you from Platinum to Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyer membership nor can a Platinum One member use the Status Credits to retain the Platinum One membership status. Status Credit Benefits will also not contribute to Lifetime Status, Loyalty bonuses, Platinum Bonus Reward, or Platinum One Member additional benefits and will not be earned in conjunction with other Status Credit promotions unless otherwise specified.

Ah that's a bit annoying. Still, think with the other application restrictions elsewhere it's worth considering as an option.
