How did others who got to "yes" with C1 get there? Do you have US issued ID?

Was never asked for anything other than Aus passport. No idea why they are doing this to you

Does anyone know if purchases at Qantas marketplace will code as purchase at an airline for Amex biz platinum ?

No only the personal platinum

Just received my ITIN as well. The W7 was sent to the IRS on 13 March so just under the 7 week timeline (although for the IRS that it is impressively quick given that is tax season).

I used someone off Fiverr who was exceptional and was cheaper than SH Studios. If anyone is interested, DM me and I will share a link to his ad and a referral.

Question in the meantime, should I still apply for my first Amex using GT and not quote my ITIN? My plan is to apply for a Personal Gold using GT and then apply for a Hilton Amex (probably the free one or Surpass) using my ITIN 3 months later (unless anyone thinks it’s worthwhile applying sooner).

For the people who have AU and US HSBC Premier accounts, is HSBC Global transfer recommended or is Wise cheaper for AUD to USD transfers?

I've only used Wise, so don't know how the HSBC FX rates stack up. Is there a way for me to compare?

Wise is generally way cheaper - only thing cheaper is IBKR for large amounts - but WISE allows flexibility on rate movements eg AUD went from 0.6 to 0.64 in a month so with wise could change at any time in any amounts

All transfers from HSBC have been instant for me so far (BA Avios and Flying blue)
