If the tweet was in fact from Ms Hutton:

"Qantas spokeswoman Deborah Hutton appeared to forget the golden rule about not biting the hand that feeds you yesterday when she tweeted about her frustration with Jetstar - Qantas's upstart sibling."

"Jetstar nightmares: queues as long as Tigers [sic] biggest drive and then I get whacked $180 for the priviledge [sic] of taking my Callaways!''

Time for a change anyway, good bye Ms Hutton.

Noooo ....

At 48 years of Age, Ms Hutton is an inspiration to us Baby Boomers.

And also quite a good spokesperson. She's well spoken, looks the part (she was a model) and does generally a pretty good Job.

I think we'd miss her if we didn't hear "Hello, I'm Deborah Hutton, And i'd like to welcome you on board Qantas, Spirit of Australia.... Well, it's (*insert season/month/special festiva*l or i'm in *insert location*).

I'm sure they could do worse:)

It’s good to see everyone has problems with JQ. Perhaps this will open some eyes to the issues faced by everyone else.

So she was taking her Callaways to MCY.I have it on good authority she played a round today-typical golfer.:p;)

I'd take them to BNE on Qantas where they are included in one's allowance and hence won't cost $180 - then drive up in a rental car. (Done this many a time)

I'm sure many do. Like most corporate speak though, you only spin the story you want to be heard, and ignore the rest since it suits them - overall they believe the occasional issues to be less significant than the cost of fixing them.

Reading that made my day.

Also took a look at the twitter a/c for personal curiosity, looks like it belongs to a frequent ***** who doesn't spell check as they type which seems like Ms Hutton to a T. A/c isn't authenticated, but no surprise considering how minor a personality she is.

Yeah I also checked out the account. Call it professional curiosity ;)

Looks to be legit. Also appears that she is pretty shallow in many ways.

I really don't like her that much. She is tolerable in small doses, but I couldn't stand hearing/seeing her for more than a few mins.

All that said, I prefer her on the Qantas blurbs more than some other 'celebs' I could name. Although, I think her contract is safe for the moment.

I also am assuming that she is a CL?

You would assume so, considering other Qantas mouthpieces are also CL's.

Perhaps some 'training' is needed for the Jetstar person checking her in (Assuming that CL benefits do translate into Jetstar - wouldn't surprise me if they did). Remember this is probably Avalon, so no lounges there.

Then again, Qantas to Brisbane and a limo / car hire would give many more benefits to her. It does surprise me that she would fly Jetstar!

Maybe she lost a bet.

If I got paid as much as her I wouldn’t care what QF were charging, I’d fly them.

One would imagine that part of the remuneration package QF would offer her would be complimentary travel. Regardless of that, your statement I 100% agree with. She's not wanting for a quid that's for sure. I'm not earning that much and even then the only JQ flights I will take are ones that let me sample the F lounge whilst on domestic runs (much as i'm doing this very minute in the MEL lounge :))
