LHR-SYD A380 WiFi

I'm planning to go to Sydney from London, possibly with an airline flying with A380.

Does anybody know if there's any airline offering full internet access (wifi - fixed price) on the LHR-SYD route?

I know that AA has started offering WIFI on some flights but they don't fly the route you are on.

I believe you have 3 options for A380 between UK and Australia (depending on the actual segments and routes taken) being SQ, EK and QF. I am not aware of any of those carriers offering in-flight internet access at this time.

From memory in another thread, the WIFI on AA does not include laptops only handheld devices which I take to mean iphones etc. I can't see what the difference would be.

The WIFI includes laptops but is only free (until year end) on iPhones etc.

The QF A380 is ready for WI-FI however the satellites and an agreement between Australian and the US still need to be finalized due to different regulations - once this is done they will be ready to go.

First I’m hearing about it, but I’d imagine once a deal is worked out it’ll be big news and hard to miss.
