The view or two from my "office"

View from this morning's AKL office courtesy of the Novotel Auckland Airport. Was upgraded to a Premier room on the top floor with partial views of the runway. Views are nowhere near as good as the other side of the hotel (as I discovered when I saw through the room opposite mine as room service were doing their thing), but I can still see planes taking off and was appreciative of the upgrade.

Just boarded Seat 2A on one of those Boeing planes that seems to have a reputation for falling out of the sky, has door plugs fall out, or leave bolts behind.

Saying my prayers. Have six of these in the next few weeks

Another highlight is the gardens. Just a work of art using the landscape to great effect the highlights are the emperor fountain. It was built over several centuries by several architects / landscapers among which include capability brown and Paxton.

April 14 - Oxford before heading to Blenheim palace.

Quick early morning walk around Oxford before we headed off to our actual reason for staying the night here. It being term holidays no colleges or anything else was opened to the public. But the usual suspects were enjoyed from the outside.
