I have booked a reward flight with Jetstar to DPS and transit to TPE with China Airlines.

Anyone knows if I needed to go through immigration to pickup luggage and also pay visa fee+tourist tax ? I wonder if Jetstar will check through my luggage to China airlines too.

Much appreciated if anyone can share recent experience.

Thanks all!

JQ will not through check your bags...so therefore, yes, all the other formalities and fees will apply.

I don't have first hand experience but JQ's policy seems to be to through check if it is both a partner airline and booked on the same PNR.

However, China Airlines isn't listed so I suspect you'd have to collect the bag in DPS.

Thanks for the info. Sadly seens JQ is not a partner with CI, while Qantas is..
