Fly out on QF001 on Monday and was wondering what the duration of the stopover in Bangkok is? Also, is one able to access a QF lounge during this stopover or is everyone herded into one transit lounge? Thanks!

You are due to arrive at 11:15pm and depart at 12:45pm. Re-boarding should commence shortly after 12:00 midnight.

As a QP member you will have access to the Business lounge during the 1½ hour stopover. The gates used are reasonably close to the lounge. Note you will need to re-clear security and WTMD before heading back to the gate. Security is very close to the lounge.

Thanks serfty - much appreciated - will be glad to be able to get some peace & quiet prior to the long haul over to London...then have a few hours at Heathrow waiting for a connection to Geneva, followed by a 1hr train journey to Montreux...it's gonna be a loooong night/day

There's has been a change to this; but you will need to re-clear security before accessing the lounges. From the lounges it than straight to the departure gate.

When was this change invoked? I was in BKK on 1st Sep and never had to clear security first before accessing the lounge? Maybe that was the new buildings they were doing near the transfer desk? That wodul mean you woudl need to clear security twice, right??

was the timetable ambiguous???
I've found in the past for QF5 or 6 that the timetable is ambiguous. just quoting a dep time (i.e. SYD) and Arr time at the other end (i.e. FRA). To find the transit time takes a bit of digging and searching the sectors separately.
