try with China Airlines via Taipei, they sometimes have availability and it's a great product!
nice business class?try with China Airlines via Taipei, they sometimes have availability and it's a great product!
Yes IMO.nice business class?
No - as much as Qantas get criticism for their Web site failures, Velocity only have online simple one way or return booking searches.Wonderful thanks all!
Does Velocity have a similar booking system like Qantas? ie... using Multi City + Classic Rewards
So one way to Tokyo for 500k seems way too much for you?
it was a reward ticket but as per the other responses, its just a standard price and to be ignored apparently! Are you referring to revenue tickets purchased with points or the reward ticket option for 500k points ?
I’d grab them whilst you can.One more thing on this…
So I’ve found some options Bris to Tokyo via Jakarta. Thanks for the assistance!
That said, I’m slightly short on points to get Tokyo to Brisbane. Is it common to book the journey there whilst one sees availability, but book eye return later when I have more points and other flights show up in the system?
If that's QFF points, you can top up 3,000 points for $128. It's like adding a bit to the taxes & fees of your flights.A mere 2500 short I think! Will jump on it today…
Yes, buy top up points and book them ASAPOh really? Cool. Is that just done on the QFF website?

Sadly you just missed a massive release of classic flight awards. Keep looking. Seats to Tokyo pop up with relative frequency outside of peak travel seasons.Hi all,
Last year I started on my journey of points accumulation. I got my work CC working for me (Amex Platinum) and was very lucky to be able to get away a bit in 2023.
With a bit over 1 million Amex points I was able to:
- Fly business return Brisbane to Noumea (2 ppl)
- Stay 3 nights in high end resort in New Caledonia
- Fly economy return Brisbane to London (3 ppl)
And here we are, wanting to book 2024 travel plans and it’s a bit of a struggle. I have around 750k Amex points and all I want to book 2 return business class flights to Tokyo for myself and my partner.
Yet it seems to be a struggle with a similar ish points value. Qantas seems to be 1 million FF points (2 million Amex) and other airlines are similar.
Has there been a massive rise in points required this year? I’m super sad I can’t really get close to this in 2024…
