Probably a very simple question but what is current situation with LAGS on QFd flts?

Specifically, a pax wanting to take a bottle or 2 of red to Lord Howe Island next week?

Asking for a friend as I will be in AMS and I very rarely fly AUd 👍

Was Told in Lonny (Boag's tour) last Sunday I could take two six packs in carry on luggage if I wished.

I have know some to carry on a six pack of wine (4½ Litres) out of ADL domestically.

Is Lord Howe Different?

It is different from other "Australian" Pacific islands / Territories in that aircraft depart from Domestic terminals.
the only issue is the 14kg bag limit and maybe 4kgs for carry on, so you can’t take much.

Being a quiet day, I just weighed a few bottles of red (just happen to have a few laying around ;) ).

Weight was generally between 1.2Kg & 1.3Kg each.

There is no restriction on taking wine to LDH...either in carryon on or checked luggage. The only restriction is weight as above. If your carryon is too large to take on board the Dash 8, it is taken from you just before you board and taken as Premium Hànd luggage and given back to you on the tarmac at LDH. In my 3 trips to LDH, my carry on was never wèighed ;)

Anyone know if QF (or indeed LHI itself) have worked out a way forward for when the Dash8-200s are retired? Is the runway getting lengthened; different operator; different aircraft type?

If the latter two I guess no change to luggage and carry on limitations.
