SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

SQ is adding five more champagnes to first class menu!

SQ is adding these 5 new champagnes One at a Time in 2 month stints.. There's a report quoted from another site about 2 pages back, before CE started taking and posting pics (and decrying the first of the new grower products, from Vilmart & Co.. Will give it my close attention early in July

Egly-Ouriet is the one I’m looking forward to. Have few in my cellar. Blanc des Millenaires is also very nice, used to be served on Asiana F back in the days and I think it’s occasionally served on QF F these days.

We will be flying SYD-Sin-Muc in J in just over 2 weeks. What kind of wine or champagne should I be drinking? Or should I ignore all of those and drink Singapore Sling instead?

Would be nice if they added a few non-alc versions so we can at least enjoy something nonalc and fizzy other than water.
I know non-alc champagne is an oxymoron etc etc I get it.
Some of us cant drink and I pay my J fares/always gold status and would like something a little better than ‘mocktails’ - its not as if the only alcohol on board for drinkers is coughtails. Will be adding to my post consumer survey

@boomy,@Cruiser Elite - any suggestions for other places to send my feedback other than landing in the cyber equivalent of the circular filing cabinet?

I thought I was the only one who doesn't drink in airplanes for whatever reason.

I made 2 suggestions to the online feedback black hole
1) options for sparking water

2) SQ comes around with a TWG tea box with a selection of teas for those who want tea. After all TWG is based in SING.
Why they cant stock all these great new nonalc bevvies from Australia is beyond me. (Self disclosure - am investor in one)
There are some good champagne alternatives (and last I checked champagne -unlike TWG - is not produced in Singapore

Yes, on my wife’s birthday 9 years ago.

I remember the cake tasted similar to most SQ desserts so adjust your expectations accordingly…
Last month London based friend whom I’d not seen since PreCovid and I went to lovely dinner whilst I was in UK.

Its our favorite restaurant and getting a booking on a Sat night meant so many questions!! In the end she said it was my birthday (was not) as not sure the call would even result in a booking.

So on the night a plate with one cupcake, one candle on a plate with ‘Happy Birthday’ icing on it arrived. 😂

But then it comes in the teapot.
Its the same as asking for a Champers - you won't want it if they just pour it without showing you the bottle first.
(see post again)

They have the TWG tea boxes at SKL Changi T3

Martine 2 best ways to send feedback are:
  1. Login to SQ web site and top right hand corner there is a FEEDBACK tab - click that and you are away
  2. Email SQ directly on [email protected] and you are good to go
I have always received response to my feedback by either avenue - I usually use No 2 as I find it easier to keep track of to and fro emails
