For those that don’t fly enough to qualify for automatic lounge access, it’s a personal preference whether they’ll spend more on Lounge membership than their coffee & croissants throughout the year.

I think for when I was flying for work, but not enough to get Gold, it was well worth it. As it was work related, I claimed it on tax. The ability to get a bit of work done while on the move, and the food and drinks, made the convenience of it worth the cost.

As a fully self funded flyer and only QF LTS , probably wouldn't fly enough to justify the cost.
That said, will be making use of my J lounge invite when I'm off to HNL in July, and always a welcome escape from the general crowd of the airport on my limited number of domestic flights.
