I think any regular flyer will agree that (especially in J), the attitude of the cabin crew can make all the difference between a very pleasant flight experience and an eminently forgettable one.

I feel that I at least would like to give a shout out when the former occurs: I have no interest in throwing brickbats at the latter. Let the forgettable be forgotten!

All that said, here's a special shout out to David and the crew on VA702, BNE to HBA on Tuesday last, 21st Feb 2023.

From the moment I stepped on board, I was welcomed, addressed by name, well looked after (as were other pax), frequently (but not too frequently) asked if there was anything I needed, bing offered drinks and snacks over and above the standard meal.

I’m pretty sure I’ve had him in the cabin on one of my recent flights on that route.

When I flew it the day before you in business, there were two ladies whose name I’m afraid escapes me, who were simply lovely the whole way through. Nothing too much trouble.

I’ll make sure I get names from now on.

Always had some great experiences on the 777 when it was around, Annie (Flight Manager ) on the 777 was always just brilliant back in the day. Hopefully she is still about.
