Hi All,

My little niece and her partner are travelling from CDG to SYD today, coming home from their first big international holiday. Unfortunately their SQ flights were cancelled last minute however I was able to help them find a United flight via SFO (return was much cheaper than one way which was a huge relief for them - they were only searching one way). My niece was pretty upset, so I'm hoping to be able to help her with 2 pax lounge access for their 11 hour stopover in SFO. Is anyone able to help? I'm happy to swap for QF lounge passes if that's of interest.

Thanks!

Nat

I would rather not sit in lounge for 11 hours. Better IMO to take a 30min Uber into town and explore. Maybe lunch/dinner somewhere. Fisherman's wharf is one suggestion. Even a 1hr afternoon Bay cruise to the GG bridge, or a Twilight cruise.

Should be about to spend at least 1300hrs to maybe 1930hrs in SanFran.

Much better than sitting in lounge all that time.

Then on return to SFO go to Freshen Up for a nominal fee (hairdryers avail, towels soaps avail) shower in the Int terminal (before security).

Thanks Quickstatus, that's a good call. I'm not familiar with SFO, so wasn't sure whether an outside excursion was doable in that time. Cheers.

Definitely doable.
I'm assuming luggage is checked through to SYD - it would be if the CDG-SFO-SYD is on one ticket

Uber to Union Square
Lunch somewhere
Tram Ride from union square to Fishermans Wharf (always a queue to get on - pay conductor)
Explore
Bay Cruise to Golden Gate Bridge - there are several cruise boats - red and white, blue and gold
Alcatraz tour will take at least 4 hours - possibly won't have time. Last departure I think 1pm.
Check out Ghirardelli chocolate shop at fisherman's Wharf
Dinner at the wharf
Uber from wharf to Airport (don't take tram back to city - long queues)
Shower at Freshen Up at airport
