I'm flying out of FRA on LH metal, SQ code-share to SIN in First (B747-800 :) ). Will I get access to the LH First Class terminal? @Mattg, @Cruiser Elite, @boomy ?

I note that Points Hacks (Oct 2018) says

Lounge Access Options
  1. By class of travel: departing on a First Class flight with a Lufthansa Group airline—Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, SWISS or Brussels Airlines—or arriving on a Lufthansa Group First Class flight and connecting to a Lufthansa Group flight in any class, e.g. arriving in Lufthansa First from North America and connecting to intra-European Lufthansa Business (or the other way around)
  2. By airline frequent flyer status: Lufthansa HON Circle member
You will not have access for flights with any other Star Alliance airline.

I remember reading somewhere on AFF that someone preferred the First Class lounge(s) in the main terminal. Any views on this?

Usually star alliance rules are driven by the operating carrier - not the marketing carrier, so you should be OK.

Yes you will have access to the FCT at FRA and unlike the other poster on here I think the FCT is far better than the lounges in the main terminal.

It was better when you could rent the Porsche and drive it up to the front door but still an excellent lounge and car service to your aircraft.

I have never frequented LH FCT but if the Lounge there doesn’t cough all over the pox lounges in FRA general terminal then LH should turn in their licence

But re LH FCT is there any arr access to Lounge?

That would be me!

I just don’t get the appeal of sitting in a concrete box with a view of a car park? I much prefer the FCLs in the terminal… sweeping views of the apron, identical decor, restaurant, food, bar and service. The only thing you might not get is a car to your plane. The bath in the FCL also has a spa function, which you don’t get in the FCT.

That being said, I have never originated in FRA, always transferred. Being able to arrive and progress straight from the car into the lounge would be a benefit. Enough to outweigh the FCLs? I dunno. Maybe if you were flying regularly and arrived an hour before departure.

Of course, YMMV :)

As an aside I know Swiss previously prevented United F code-share pax from accessing the Fcl in Zurich. I don’t recall similar issues with access to the LH lounges.
