Have Citi FPO (quick cash for $100 gift card) dried up?

My Quick Cash offers have not been great after applying for Ready Credit. They're now a 3.99% fee with 0% interest and no gift card. Not really worth it.

OTOH, FlexiBill is still delivering for me with a 1.99% fee with 0% interest and a $100 gift card (on a minimum $2.5k) the last time around.

I took out a FPO offer in mid January & my statement arrived late January. I was expecting to see an installment due amount on the statement but whilst it lists the FPO it doesn't mention an installment being due.

Have others experiences been that the first installment is due on the initial statement or will it be listed in the subsequent statement in late February in my case?

In my experience, there is the setup fee on the first statement. The first instalment usually comes through on the second statement.

i still get offers for a gift card, but now costs about $50 to get $100 and I cant be bothered. Especially as I stuffed 2 up and lost them, i am still around $800 in front though.

I'm considering getting a decent amount at 0% (for as long a term as possible) and putting it on the mortgage. I'm thinking that keeping the set up fee to $100 or less makes sense. I'm not planning on getting a new credit card but this would be a similar outcome to a balance transfer.

No reason to, they apply against your existing Credit limit,.

The 1.99% fee is equal to $19.90 per $1000, so I tend to only get the minimum $2.5k myself. This is because over 6 months, the interest on mortgage repayments (at 5.79%), assuming repayment of the principal ($1000) in equal instalments of $166.66, is $20.28 ($5.79 + $4.83 + $3.86 + $2.90 + $1.93 + $0.97), meaning the savings are marginal. I prefer to keep some room on my limit for PayAll, and future FlexiBills.

(Sadly, because my card was hacked last month and I had a week and a half of not putting transactions through, my statement balance was $2470, meaning I can't take advantage of the FlexiBill offer this month. I hope they resume sending them next month...)

Thanks for the info @MELso. Interestingly, when I clicked on the link it took me to a FPO page where the set up fee goes up to 3.49% for a 12 month plan. Kills the deal as I was considering it, but might do the minimum to gain the nett $50.

Aren’t FPOs installment payments with ‘no Interest’ for 12 months but an upfront fee which the call center operators minimized as ‘zero interest’? They’ve been slowly increasing the up front fee on these after Citi used it to fatten up their credit card book during the sales process? The upfront fee has risen from I recall 0.99% to 5.99% more recently. I took them up and put the cash in my offset. Doesn’t make sense at 5.99% so have stopped paying attention.

HSBC have started doing this trick with my having received some such offers from HSBC recently.

Balance transfers are a different proposition.
