When Qf 1/ 2 transit went back to Sin from Dxb, I reckon the partnership was in trouble! Wasn't the Dxb transit stop to enable the Qf pax to TF to ,/ from EK to /from. many European destinations ?!...and now Qf plans to fly to Lhr from Per /Syd nonstop completely bypassing Asia and ME!

That was certainly a pivot point. But mind you, VA was doing similar with EY to AUH and quietly pulled that. I imagine both committed to running those for a period and exited ASAP?

I never found QF1 via DXB connected particularly well with onward connections. Whereas EK all the way on QF codes was good.

Also, a bit of a cough if QF turned down QR, only to have EK turn to poop… EY, come back all’s forgiven?

The current agreement between Qantas and Emirates expires in March 2023. They have applied for a further 5 years.

Ah, I recall seeing that. Maybe reposting was a “year in review” thing?

Anyway, I was pondering if the reported devaluation of EK Skywards was have ripple through affects?
