Earlier tonight I used web check-in for a flight tomorrow night and notice we have been pre-allocated 9AB. Went to the seat map to see if I could get out of the middle seat and could not select a seat from rows 1-10. I find it interesting that we have been pre-allocated seats at the front of the cabin even though I cannot select these seats on a cheap airfare. There is plenty of availability further back in the cabin which makes the pre-allocated seats even more interesting.

Anyway my father wants to stay in the window seat so I will move myself back to row 12 or row 13 aisle.

Ive often found with web check-in that i cant access above row 10 unless ive bought Corporate Plus or above. Might be able to ring up and ask? They usually are quite helpful.

No problem. I ended up taking 29DF at the airport, could not get aisle and window closer at the front, and we had 29E vacant. There was turbulence early on in the flight and my father just kept looking at me and shaking his head. He was not so dissapointed when we on the first ones off the aircraft in Sydney....

This pisses me off the most about Virgin Blue!

I always get pre-allocated seats in the back of the bus when doing online check in... but when I go up to the counter I always get seats within the first 7 or 8 rows...


Not cool!
