One of the better Airline/Hotel hookup perks.

Now, does Hyatt do SMs from other Hotel programs?…

Hyatt have been in close parnership with AA for some years.

About three years ago when I was Globalist they offered EXP for three months with a challenge to retain for another year.

I did not partake as the challenge required AA flight numbers and there was no way I could have it extended. Moreover, I was Emerald anyway and could not envisage a use.

This is an excellent offer out today with a few gotchas.
It’s only valid for 4months whilst you earn the loyalty points to keep it.
Can be earned through shopping though ☺️

Pretty neat way to get OWE (Plat Pro) for those that have Hyatt Globalist

American & Hyatt Offering Status Fast Track Promo
Can't seem to find anything under my AA promotions tab - have definitely got my accounts linked, after asking Hyatt Concierge about this they could only give me that. Anyone else had any luck?

Keep in mind that many previous AA status challenges have noted in the terms and conditions that members can only participate in challenges once in the membership lifetime. If you are not going to complete the challenge, you may preclude yourself from participating in future challenges. Check the terms carefully.

UA has a 5 yr policy. I’m well past that for my last go but haven’t had the need to venture into the stary alliance (apart from an SQ J redemption - that makes A*G a moot point).

Yes, I agree, a good deal if it is needed. Without having the market survey data, I would question how many Hyatt Globalists would not already have high OW status. Therefore, I would want to understand their target strategy and how effectively it penetrates market share.

Serfty made the point well.

I have found Hyatt a good chain with some great properties; however, none of their real estate is that convenient (location) for me; hence I have never become a 'Hyatt guy'.

Thanks for sharing.

Probably the UA regulars etc? As I was typing, I was pondering the US domestic market share between AA and UA now after soooo many mergers and consolidations!

Yeah, that’s been my experience. But I’ve had former colleagues swear by them. Similarly Marriott (it used to be the go to place to earn QFF pts last century, but outside the US there’s limited properties and sky high rates - pity, that program has some nice perks also).

Somewhere along the line I earned a stash of Hyatt points (might have been a promo or two) that ended up being enough to splash out on JNB hotel for one night transit. Haven’t been to a property since.
