Qantas seat wins top design award

I saw a link on the front page earlier, but it's not there now.
The picture of the seat in that link gives the impression that there is extra room. I wonder if this is actually the case in reality? It would be interesting to try out the QF A380 but won't get a chance this year unless one of the scheduled 747's get substituted during my trip in August/September.

My mum has asked me to travel with her to the UK in August, but only if I can find decent prices. I'm thinking, if I'm going to fly that far, I should probably have the best seat I can get, and the A380 might be the one, if I can find some low prices.

But your right, there seems to be a lot of room in that photo:

I noted this "win" a few days ago, but can't remember what thread and I mentioned that the picture the news article had was of whY+ !

The photo above has to be Y rather than Y+ . Close inspection shows a window set of seats in a 3x configuration. PE on both the 747 and A380 are 2x at the window.

Yep. The article I found the other day though, had pics of whY+ seating.

One would hope it is a photo of WHY otherwise it is clearly false advertising.

I would think it is whY and geniune since QF would not be so silly (we hope)
But like the photos they show front on, they use really small women in the seats so they look large. Just like SQ on there J seats they do the same thing.

Assuming NoNews were the one with the article, not surprising to see errors that are later fixed with no notification of an update to the article. (BTW, I often also do the same thing with editing my post very soon after posting as I think of new things or find out something I was looking for ... so perhaps I shouldn't be throwing stones ;) )
