I booked/flew 3x flights through Finnair recently and when I went to claim the points through Qantas (I had entered my QFF number into my Finnair booking), 1x came back with points but the other two did not.

Looking at the my tickets, it had:

CDG-HEL : Finnair - Economy (Ticket Class Y) = points allocated
HEL-SIN : Finnair - Premium Economy (Ticket Class E) = no points allocated zero earn class
SIN-SYD : British Airways - Premium Economy (Ticket Class E) = no points allocated zero earn class

The Premium Economy flights were definitely in Premium Economy, shouldn't they be some other ticket class? "T", "R" or "W" ?

I am entitled to points aren't I? I'm confused?

If you purchased ‘E’ fare Premium Economy and the flights were marketed by Finnair i.e. ‘AY’ coded flights - then unfortunately that is a non-earning fare class and you won’t get any points.

I checked expertflyer I can see that AY does publish ‘E’ class fares for premium economy so I think you’re out of luck. If the British Airways flight was BA coded, then E class does earn points as @RichardMEL states above.

ah yes, good point muppet. If it was a AY codeshare that changes everything..... I didn't consider that.

To be honest I don't remember if it was "E" fare PremEco. I was so frazzled from Qantas cancelling my business class reward flights home from Europe I had to book something and ended up forking out for these tickets last minute and in the back of my mind was "well, at least I'll be earning extra points with these premium eco seats"... sounds like that theory was wrong.

Bugger.
