Agree on the spin. On landing we were all (so I believe) handed a certificate half A4 sized, which read 'Qantas Rome Perth Points Plane Flight'. I asked what that meant exactly, and was told that every passenger on the flight was booked on points, which I found hard to beleive. At least 1 last minute passenger was a QF staff member, for they whom they managed to stuff up the seating arrangements for the front 2 rows of PE seats LHS. It was eventually sorted out, and during the flight, as has been stated a number of times on diffrent threads, that staff member was constantly attended to by the cabin crew.
First timer on the 787, and whilst the flight was as smooth as silk, I found the electrics in the PE seats to be next to useless. The remote was quite small at around 8mm, and was fixed on the inside of the arm rest at seat level, so it was quite difficult to see what buttons were for; the headset three pin plug, and it's power point were black, and the plug was also located low down on the side of the seat. It was so dark we needed to stuff an iPhone down there with the light on to plug it in; the folding tray table was only connected at one side, wasn't long enough to rest on the opposite armrest, and wobbled somewhat when the meal platter was delivered. With a glass of water along with a glass of wine sitting there, things were a little hairy. Finally, we landed on the shorter cross runway at PER which I thought would have been a bit short for such an aircraft, but things were OK and the fact that the aircraft was almost at T3 made the taxi very short.
