In various places in this website are advertisements for a book or books by a Tony Morrison, who claims to be a travel agent working for a major airline (presumably in USA), who was sacked by the airline. He has since written this book "Cheap airfares secrets" as a revenge. Most of the feedback are from people in UK and USA.

Just wonder if any reader in Australia has bought or read this book, and what do they think of it ? Is it a load of rubbish and a money grabber or there is an element of truth in some of teh things he says.

Firstly - I have not (and never would) buy such a product....

Having said that I am quite confident that anything in such a "guide" that did in fact have an element of truth would be openly available on websites such as this one, or Flyertalk etc....

I may of course be wrong.... but I doubt it!!!

The ad for the product you mentioned appears underneath your post:mrgreen:

There is nothing of substance on the website and looks like it is relevant to the US...

EDIT: the ad has now changed!

Don't waste your money.

If you are interested in saving money on airfares then follow websites like AFF and Flyertalk where the information provided is free and probably more up to date and useful than a FIRED employee could provide....

I've never bought it and I never would, it's all sales spiel and propaganda.

As JohnK said, everything you need to learn about fares, maximising SC's etc can be learnt on sites such as this.

There is no secret technique to obtain OP-UPS, buying this book and "being in the know" is no more likely secure you an OP-UP than winking at the checkin staff will, it's all a load of rubbish.

As an agent, I have a vast knowledge built up over years in the industry, but does it mean I sit in J when I only pay for Y on each flight, or I fly for $5 to anywhere in the world...I wish!!

Having said that, i'd always be curious to hear from anyone who did part with their hard earned money and would care to divulge what the contents of the book are...curiosity is a funny thing.
