Does anyone know if Accor will let someone other than me check in for a booking in my name/ my ALL account?

Two scenarios:

1. I’m flying in from a different city and will arrive much later than Mrs H. I’m assuming a call or email to the hotel would be sufficient here?

2. Mrs H arriving a couple of days before me to visit friends. Any issue if I don’t arrive until a couple of days later?

And a just-in-case question:

In scenario 2, if I need to change my plans due to work etc, are there any issues with Mrs H staying when the booking is in my name?

I often ring ahead to notify them that my parents will arrive earlier and allow them to check in. We are always only a few hours behind them though and not next day or anything like that.
My understanding from conversations with them though is that if you arrive on a later date you won’t receive points or stay nights for the whole booking but o haven’t tried it to see if that works in practice

TBH tell them you will be arriving late by all means but I see no reason to give them any more information. After check-in simply keep away from reception,
