Woolworths gift card thread

Just received an email with the following offer between 28/03/22 and 10/04/22.

Collect 10x points when you spend $150 or more on Gift Cards online, including Woolworths Supermarkets, BWS, BIG W, Dan Murphy’s or WISH Gift Cards.
Nice to see WISH cards added to the list. Note that it's a targeted offer, and can only be used once.

So if I'm reading this offer correctly, I could get 25,000 points from buying $2,500 in WISH gift cards (5 max, $500 maximum value) in a single order. I might just do it.

Be aware previous versions of this promotion have been problematic for people with points not posting. Screen shot/record eveything is my advice.

For me, the 5% off WISH card offer better value.

I haven't received an email but I imagined you could double-dip with discount portals as they direct to the WW site
ISTR that there is a Seniors site that still offers 5% WISH but I don't have access

I got the same, but it doesn't say what the regular earn (let alone the 10x rate) is.

Here are the terms of the 10x offer:

This says there is no earn when buying a WW GC:
Do I get Everyday Rewards points when I buy a Woolworths Gift Card?
There are no Everyday Rewards points collected when purchasing any type of Woolworths Gift Card. However, you may collect points when you redeem the Gift Cards purchased through our website or in store. You can redeem your Gift Cards in participating Woolworths Group Stores.
Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

You'll earn 10 points per dollar for your spend that you make through the offer. You typically don't earn points for purchasing gift cards (as mentioned in your post), but the standard earn rate is considered 1 point per dollar when bonus earn rates apply.

Thanks, I just called to enquire. Was told usually the earn is zero, but for this promotion, standard earn is 1 point per dollar meaning bonus earn is 10 points per dollar.

Not bad considering I got this targeted offer last month:
Gift between $100 - $149.99 and collect 700 points or
Gift between $150 - $199.99 and collect 1000 points or
Gift $200 or more and collect 1400 points

I suspect if I used that offer, I would not have received this one. I was actually going to do it but completely forgot 😂

I “gifted” myself $200 with that offer (although I’m actually confused as to whether the points were credited or not. Points came in that were an odd amount so I think they either didn’t credit or lumped them together - wish I could get a statement of points earned. Does anyone know if this is possible?) and was sent this offer. I just got $2500 worth of cards and as per @Dr Ralph ’s warning I‘be made a note to follow up on 15 days time.

PS thanks @CaptainCurtis for the head's up about the emailed deal. Funnily enough I overlooked the email and saw yours right as I was sitting outside Dan Murphy trying to look up on my phone how to get a discounted gift card before I went in to purchase some grog 😁

Can you buy Visa1 Home improvement cards with Woolies rewards dollars credit?
I believe it's a no go...... but
Has anyone recently tried?
