I did OK today especially with only one letter in the first two tries

I started to play a couple of days ago - got a bit stuck today because the solution word had a duplicate letter which I presumed would not be used - BEWARE - finally got the result on the last try when out of 'desperation' I tried a word with 2 L's.

the double letters are always a bit of trick. Problem is that you never want your starter word to have a double letter (well I don't)
