Hi all,

Is anybody having trouble linking their Accor and Qantas accounts together in the new partnership? I am Plat with both, so it's somewhat worthwhile linking them together.

I keep getting errors when trying, however, and the only thing I can narrow it down to is that I used to do automatic conversions to QF pre-2021. I am now unable to deactivate the automatic conversions despite this being the advice.

Have contact Accor support and surprise, radio silence.

Any tips on how to deactivate automatic conversions, or what else might be going on? The usual suspects of name on account and correct FF/Accor numbers have been ruled out.

Are you linked to another airline partner (e.g. Flying Blue)? If so, that needs to be unlined.

As for the autoconversion, not sure how you undo that.

Never been linked to another airline. Accor points are useless for using in their own properties, so I always converted them to QF, until the autoconversion stopped.

I've tried using them since then to book rooms etc, but it's always been more trouble than it's worth domestically.

I'm also having difficulty and waiting for early next week for accor to come back to me to sort it out - apparently, there are some issues linking accor to qf if you've recently had accor linked to another airline?

I’m trying to unlink my FB account (Miles+Points). Accor responded quickly to my request alas the info provided didn’t work for me, so I’ve gone back to them.

I posted their response here (post #145):

I submitted an online request and got nothing.

But when I called them: They had suspended my ALL account due to supposed suspicious activity, but didn't tell me and didn't stop me from making a new booking under the account.

I had to change my password and send ID, and then they unlocked my account. At that point the link went through.

Just as an fyi - if you had your Accor account linked to KLM, you have to wait a year from when you joined up to be able to then link your account to qantas.

Yep. That rule works for both FF tie-ups (can only switch from one to another after 12mths).

Some of us have had the AF/KLM tie-up since 2019 - I'm still waiting for mine to be manually unlinked. Ironically, the power to unlink QFF via your Accor account apparently is there up front....

Thanks - what did you mean by 'Ironically, the power to unlink QFF via your Accor account apparently is there up front...."

There’s currently no way for us to unlink FB and switch over to QFF. However, the Accor site suggests that we are able to unlink QF (even though it’s only just started - and your 12mth click will still be ticking). Someone who has linked QF can probably confirm or not if that functionality exists?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

A button exists, although I am not planning to see if it works :)
