Has anyone booked to fly in December?

I’ve been checking SIN BNE SQ as well, and currently there are no schedules for SIN BNE at the moment. have you received any notification that your flight is cancelled at all?

No cancellations at this stage. These were J saver awards booked for 3xPAX at the start of the year.

Personally I agree. All these empty promises that get snatched away at the last minute because……. (Insert excuse)
Very likely. They just wanted your money now. You'll have to wait many months for the refund. I learnt the hard way about this and wont be going through it again.

No. Sick of chasing refunds!
Yep. Me too!

Booked a reward flight to NZ 14 December! We will see if we are allowed to go, don’t mind if delayed a few days but would like to be there for Xmas.

Booked Fiji for a week early January. Used travel credits so it's dead money either way

As soon as I saw Qantas had opened up bookings, I grabbed some seats to Fiji. I know there's every chance my plans will get Covid-ed (again) but damn it felt good to book something. Anyone other optimists booked anything?
Have confirmed booking to Germany on Qatar early November, return December 8 so far, actually have to be back Mid November so betting on 80% Scomo roadmap. Worst case it’s fully refundable

Yes I’m going to LHR in December. Booked on QF. Will spend Xmas with my Mum, Dad and extended family who I haven’t seen for two years.
Due to the uncertainty of this I’m not telling anyone at home. I just plan to rock up unannounced.
I hope it works out.

Imagine you get to their house, and you found out they all went to Europe or even Australia ......

We have an award flight to ZRH for March on Cathay, return end of May. Transferred from October. This will be the 4th time we've tried to go to see family. Here's hoping.

The time for me to book speculatively is being squeezed anyway as my SQ 6 month extension for a large amount of expired points is due Dec and if they don't extend again I will definitely book speculatively for mid 22 to France (family reasons) and return via Istanbul because its a great points sweet spot with SQ.
Amex has also stopped extending my travel credits saying we can book 10 months in advance so I booked a car hire in July and if need be I will alter it once we have more certainty.

The Sydney universities are aiming to bring a few hundred international students back in on a trial in December which involves them quarantining for 2 weeks in student accomodation. I don't think citizens will be coming and going in late December...

The press is tossing around the idea that Bali will open for tourists in October. I'll keep an eye on that.

All those who are booking, are you still prepared to quarantine for two weeks upon return? Either at home or in a hotel. Or are you assuming international travel means no quarantine requirement when returning?

My assumption as I’m in NSW will be it’s home quarantine 7 days fully vaccinated. If I have to do 14 I can wear that too.
The covid zero states wouldn’t likely have this though except maybe SA

I'm waiting to hear if that will apply to all countries or only certain low risk ones.

Quite likely that the UK will be included - but will have to see about US. Ideally I'd like to fly to the UK and come back through the US - but if it means HQ, I'll just stay in the UK. I wonder if it will get to the point where we designate specific states like NZ was doing for us?

Ive got NAN to LAX booked in Feb . Need to book the BNE NAN bit but i doubt ill be going anywhere (AGAIN)

Zero chance for me. If I were to it would be with points. I don't feel the need to be another unsecured creditor for QF. Personally, I don't think it will happen either.
I will be using my points instead of money, but only when really, really safe to go. Still umming and aahing.
