Alternative use of airline points

About the size of a thumb long, but big fat collection bit, bigger than a thumbnail.
About 3800 KF points, and I think 1500 KF points for what they term delivery, can't remember the exact number of points used, but the spoon "price" is on the website, and there is an option/sliding scale of how much you want to pay for "delivery", 5300/5800 or so.
Will check in the order email later today.
I didn't want to order tea/coffee, and have quarantine take it, so choose the spoon.
I think though, Vrooms might be better, once our Aust domestic borders open, to use for hotel stays, but the Aud$ paid in that, does not earn anything extra KF wise, but you can earn points by using a credit card to pay.
The spoon came with/via DHL, and we all know of that fake "your package couldn't be delivered" fake sms, so I was a bit skeptical if the spoon would arrive, but it did.
Now, lets wait and see what's next, for KF points utilisation.
For me, probably it would be Vrooms, haven't used for that one yet.
Crowne Plaza Adelaide might be the one to go for, I can do that without flying.
2500 with about a steepish $200 per night charge.
Maybe not a very smart way of using KF points, but for now, without flying, its a tight choice.

😂😂reminds me of the shape of medicine spoons when I was a child😂😂😂 … I actually like it (and everything about SQ).

I guess we could wait and see if KF extends their FF points life (again and many more times).
You could do on flight pickup of the product, if they extend KF points life and you take an SQ flight.
As for on delivery services in SIN, don't know for sure but check Google search.

Postage on a sliding scale, I chose all postage by points 2538 KF points, or SGD$20.31.
Total points used 4763 KF points, or SGD$38.11.
I think the value for KF points for flights is 1050 KF points equals SGD$10 off flight fare, for using p+p.

I'm wondering the same thing myself - I saw Matt give an example of doing so on his latest webinar - I have been assuming, however, that you can't book *alliance partner awards on KF, which was fine for me currently, as I'm still a few months away from booking my next KF trip. I note your question is from a 6 weeks ago - have you found out anything further since then?
