Complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership

Did anyone else see that AirNZ are now offering free membership of their FF scheme if you transfer Amex points across and sign up using a certain promo code?

(Not really important in this thread, but still thought it was interesting).

Yep, I mentioned it here. Air NZ Airpoints only seems to be good for domestic bookings or upgrades on Air NZ.

Who really cares, all of you folk that can't help themselves knocking an Aussie airline, and want DJ, Virgin, Air NZ to do well, when you lose your job, bad luck, who will also care??

FWIW The above is also an Aussie airline, actually more Australian-owned than Qantas, I believe (although that might have changed after Toll's giveaway.)

So yeah, I want them to do well too.

Back OT, I signed up for the free QFF membership a week ago. Thing is, I don't have any credit card points, nay, any credit cards at all, and if I did, I wouldn't fix them to Qantas.

So will I still be a QFF member come April 1? I'll keep you posted

Obviously, 2 words, "who cares" are too many for some to understand, having just got off a UA flight, I really struggle to understand why people want to continually undermine a Company with a majority Aussie ownership, when it is one of the few successful global airlines, then, whinge when jobs go offshore, as they say, "go figure", or something like that!!

I'm not putting Qantas down, in my limited experience with them they've been great. However I think that some of their loyal FF's have the right to be sceptical when change such as this is forced upon them.

So in answer to your repeated question, 'who cares?', they do.

As per the T&C's, I would expect not.
