So Qld Health dont trust their hospital staff to be able to don PPE and safely do an ultrasound and bloodwork on a covid positive patient?
Well they have had 2 outbreaks in their hospitals where workers in or near a covid ward have picked up covid.

He is indeed God in some circles but despite that it doesn't stop mere mortals from expressing their voice and concern at the activities and words of relevant others.
Na. Unfortunately, he is actually God. Mortals tried to oust him from his multimillion largesse from Olympics activities, but failed at the gate,

I have met him. At the 2000 Olympics. He had to share his villa with MrP and another official. He didn't speak to me 😂

Hidden on the SA Health website. (Unfortunately not reciprocated yet by the Cooks as far as I can tell. So 14 days in NZ bubble needed first before travelling to the Cooks if the journey starts in SA).

The Cook Islands

Any person travelling from the Cook Islands who has been in either the Cook Islands or New Zealand in the last 14 days does not need to quarantine or receive COVID-19 tests upon arrival.

All travellers coming to South Australia from the Cook Islands must complete a Cross Border Travel Registration prior to travel.

ooh! I might be up for that!

But I suspect the Cth exemption system would still apply - requiring an exemption if you intend to travel beyond NZ.

I missed the VIC press conference.

Don’t suppose any planned loosening of Brisbane being a red zone?…. Probably not….?

Has anyone any experience as to how Coolangatta airport is being considered? I've got some scattered regional NSW work coming up and am considering starting at Melbourne and heading north. It'd be easier to end up at OOL and fly back to Tassie from there, rather than re-trace my wheel tracks back to MEL.
Would any other State (excluding WA) consider that anything other than a harmless transit through the Gold Coast? Providing of course, I simply drive to the airport and depart, without stopping along the way.

I was at OOL in early Jan, just before Bris covid times & I remember taxi's not wanting to take any passengers across the border to NSW, a couple of people were stuck with no way to get to their destination. No matter what the people said, taxi's said sorry no can do.

Maybe the taxi's thought they'd be stopped by police with 'foreigners' in their car & it would be an issue & they'd lose time on the job.

That info probably won't help you, ha.
I always wondered about OOL being half in NSW, but the terminal is in QLD, anyway enough of nothin, useless info. apologies.

All sounds a bit John le Carre. Catch a taxi to the border, walk through the checkpoint and catch another one to take you home. Perhaps they need to build a tunnel from the Virgin lounge and provide a door into NSW.

Not even John Le Carre. In several of the border situations in the 'Stans, you go through an exit border control, get a taxi maybe a km in no mans land to the actual border, walk across the border line, get another taxi another km in more no mans land to the entry border checkpoint, go through it, then a taxi or a bus to where you want to go.

I'm guessing QLD has contemplated such an arrangement for NSW but couldn't see how they could tax it.

But Tasmania does let you transit through a High risk area.So a taxi or Uber across the border straight to OOL and no passing Go and you would be fine.
So as long as you don't spend any time in Greater Sydney,Illawarra or the Central Coast you should be right.
The only problem is whether there is an outbreak in Northern NSW when you are there. But Tasmania of recent times only blocks areas if a lockdown is imposed by the relevant State government as well as any exposure site listed. And i really don't think Gladys is going to race into a regional lockdown.
Anyway Tassie will still let it's own quarantine at home but in the event of at outbreak in Tassie I would be thrown into the State penitentiary ( HQ ) if I tried to sneak back into QLD.
