I would suggest that tax payer funding would be involved in almost everything the PM does. After all, his job is 24/7.
Although I have not come across any specific news reports the PM most probably traveled RAAF Air which is tax payer funded.

The photos show him on that plane.
Really? So what’s the point, either flying on a VIP flight or a commercial flight, it is taxpayer funded is it not? Thats what the leaders of most countries do. I don’t get the fixation that whatever the PM does is at taxpayers expense - I would have thought that’s was a given for his position.

I think the anger comes from him telling everyone it's unsafe to travel while using a trip with 20 staff members that could have been done over zoom (like India who is actually part of the G7 did) then going off and touristing around looking for his convict relatives grave, especially while some of us who are fully vaccinated haven't seen our partners and other family for over a year and are being told we can't leave and there is no end in sight to that.

is there any news from the original (or active current) applicants in this thread about their travel exemption applications. feels like things are becoming eminent.

you may want to tag them - they haven't been online for a while

they are possibly sitting in some UK country pub enjoy a kidney pie.

I'm vaccinated and I want to attend an annual industry recruitment fair in London in October this year. It's the main source of overseas workers for our business and certainly "essential" to my mind. However, I fear the government will deem it non-essential. How are other frequent international flyers going getting permission to fly?

Any feedback on the exemption process from @mhh
