In the "welcome announcement" at the start of a Qantas flight, I've often heard the cabin crew welcoming back Qantas, Oneworld and Emirates frequent flyers.

But on a QantasLink flight yesterday, I noticed the crew said "welcome back to our Qantas Frequent Flyers and Qantas Business Rewards members."

Is this a new thing?

Can‘t say I‘ve heard it on other flights.
What, no welcome for Points Club members? Very disappointing.
It could get embarrassing if you were required to stand up, bow or wave. I’d be up to three if PC got a mention (not in including being a token AA FF)... 🤣

I’ve heard it sporadically for last few months.... I think even Xmas last year? So many flights...

"Welcome to our Qantas, oneworld and Emirates FF's, our Business Rewards Customers, our Points Club Plus and points club members, Our Lifetime Bronze FF members, all Instagram Influencers, monarchists, general humans and Collingwood Supporters and... oh wait the flight is over. Thanks for flying with us today"

Just got on my first of two Qantas flights for the day and they did welcome Qantas and Oneworld frequent flyers followed by business rewards. Clearly part of a new introduction.

That reminds me of an Emirates flight I took back in the early 90's. The announcement in Arabic went on and on for about 2 minutes, then the English version came on, which was "Please fasten your seat belts". There were a few sideways glances.

Yep, I heard it again this morning on another flight. Apparently it is a thing now. No welcome to Emirates frequent flyers, though.

Also heard it on a Qantaslink flight on Tuesday for the first time. I did notice it at the time, and thought to myself that it must be new.
