Q flights Melb/Hobart

Just noticed no Q metal flights to/from Melb/Hobart before Christmas. Last week there were 2 each day. All flights now Jetstar metal.
Have I missed something that's happened?

I haven't heard anything. I have a QF flight booked MEL-HBA in early December. Maybe that's gone - they change my flights every week

Probably moving metal to where they will definitely have borders open.

The Dec 1 VIC / TAS border opening is planned not concrete, though is looking firmer every day as VIC keeps reporting minimal cases.

I expect to see a tonne of QF metal loaded on VIC/TAS flights the second Dec 1 is confirmed. It will be HUGE.

Huh? We have essential workers shuttling in and out of Tas/Vic on QF pre the Dec 1 border reopening and they are still flying, just checked! I can also book...

I've just noticed that my entire itinerary in Dec, currently HBA-SYD-CBR CBR-MEL-HBA has disappeared from Qantas MMB.

I just phoned Qantas Plat line. My flights were all re-instated, including on QF metal MEL-HBA on Monday 7 Dec, which agrees with @madrooster 's timing above. I asked about Jetstar and cancellation of QF metal on the route. She said all still there, all bookable, no change.

I know madrooster is probably on top more than the Plat line agent, so watch out!

Sorry I didn't check LST properly it seems, I thought I did. LST is still operating 2x weekly until 07/12.

No worries you gave me a small heart attack as we have quite a few QF LST flights booked!

Once Tassie confirms opening to VIC on Dec 1, I‘m sure all they other flights will be reinstated very very quickly.

Mighty thx to all for trumping in. Nothing bad (like Q metal no longer flying to Tassie!) but, wait for a ('the') announcement confirming the Border is open officially (1st Dec ) and hopefully we'll see QF flights on Q metal reinstated from that date.

Interesting Jetstar is restarting BNE-MEL-PER flights from 1 December, I think I pass on that route.
Virgin still hasn't loaded weekend flights BNE-PER and return just yet.

Qantas has loaded lots of weird combinations from BNE-ADL; you have the option of via Port Macquarie or Tamworth.

That is almost a sure thing I agree.
