Flight notifications for cancelled flights

Has anyone had flight notifications for cancelled flights? We were a bit sad to get the notifications for our flights to SA back in mid-July and today it's for QF64 to come home. Maybe in 2022...

Exactly!! No, it's the Qantas app on my iPhone.

Interesting - when my flights (that were booked pre-COVID) have been progressively cancelled throughout this year they have removed themselves from the app. Will let you know next Friday when I was meant to be heading to ZQN for some snow fun!

Yep. In recent weeks I have received a "check in online" message, and yesterday received an Upgrade Bid email for a flight where I've already received the refund for. Qantas, Qatar, and Alitalia. Knife turn.

The flights themselves aren't in my app, I’ve just been sent these two notifications (four actually as reminders were sent as well). I'm pretty sure that I didn't receive notifications for our earlier, and cancelled, Cairns and Perth flights

Yep, both for cancelled QF flights and some MH ones as well.

Yes, I had the continual salt-into-wounds notifications for our July non-trip to South America. Right through to the reminder of Qantas points for booking Uber from Sydney airport on our "arrival" home.

And just received another upgrade email from Alitalia and a notification from Qantas that it is time to check in for flight to Adelaide from Rome. At least they will stop once I arrive home

Woke up this morning to the Check in for QF4 now open message. Im hoping I will see that again sometime in 2021

I was due to fly to the USA with Singair in October. They cancelled the return part of the trip yesterday. Not quite the sequence I expected.

So much for my plans of seeing all of the Space Shuttles, and the XB-70.

I also received the notifications from the Qantas app to check in for flights to and from SCL. Just when you think you are getting over the loss of travel, these little reminders pop up

Whilst a cancelled flight is no longer visible to you either in the app or the QF website, the booking continues to exist in the QF system, with all its history of payment and refunds etc.

I just received an alert from the QF app that check-in is open for my JQ flight tomorrow, but:
- you can't check-in for a JQ flight using the QF app
- JQ check-in opens 48 hours before departure not 24 hours in any case
Hoping there won't be a flight cancellation...

Yesterday I got one that my CX flight Rome to Adelaide is ready for checkin and which was cancelled back in February.
