I would agree with what other have said about it being the roo - though at this rate it's likely to take a couple of hours to complete!
 
It looks too big to be a drawing - if it has the fuel, looks like it might be heading for Longreach.
 
It looks like a flying kangaroo to me.

Edit: It has turned back around now, at what looks like the tip of the tail.
 
B747-400ER without pax (even with cargo) has some good legs on it, it can afford a 2-3 hour diversion before leaving.

ABC local radio Sydney Richard Glover said that too many people SMS him about flight path of this QF7474, so he contacted QF, and QF confirmed to him that the pilot is indeed trying to draw a kangaroo.

Did someone here SMS the radio station?
