I always order the consomme (no accent on the e as I'm typing on my laptop ) I kind of treat it as a palate cleanser but it is a very good course on its own.

We flew AMM-DXB-SIN in EK F last week and I'm pleased to say I put the advice from these pages into action. We were the only F pax on both flights and although I was disappointed to not get the new fit-out with the enclosed suite on either leg, we still managed to have a great experience. Everything was rather good but I'm still trying understand why Paradis costs so much and the point of the mini bar if it's not kept cold.

Given you prefer the middle section there is not a great difference in either seat, however if it was my choice I would go 2E as is just more central in the cabin.

Tks Matt - I usually take back row in all F cabins as I am the greatest sticky beak of all time and just want to see what is going on in and around entire cabin - people watching and slurping Krug or Dom or Rare are 2 of my great loves in life

Hopefully Germany Nov 22, 2020 - booked seat this morn - just need stars to align now - I can do 14 days at home worst case - we will play it by ear.

Surprised to see availability last night - SQ only showing Advantage Awards 275K + about $100 and EK via QF 216K pts +$724 - line ball given how hard it is to spend QF pts.

We still have bookings for India in December - but I have a low level of expectation that it will happen.

We always chose 2A or 2K. There’s more room in some configurations with a storage bin that’s not there for row 1.

Are you flying with Mrs CE? Otherwise I think any window seat would be better than the middle. Being able to control the shades is a massive advantage.

@TheRealTMA our preference when travelling together is 2/3A or 2/3K that way MrsM cannot see what I am up to. I seem to have something in common with @Cruiser Elite being slurping fine fizz. A few photos I prepared earlier
