If EY do the US entry immigration in AUH then surely 3hrs25min is plenty of time? It’s essentially a domestic to domestic transit with added luggage recheck.

Thanks, are you saying that ALL of the procedures are done in AUH and I don’t need to do anything further on arrival to the US?
Sounds too good to be true

I am not an expert on it so I’m only assuming it is the same at all ports where they do this.

We had the same thing when flying YYZ-JFK on DL a few years ago. They did everything in YYZ prior to departure. After doing US entry immigration we were held in a segregated area for only US flights. When arriving at JFK all we had to do was collect our bags. The same as if we were flying domestically.

Early October.
I might just play it safe and get a hotel close to the airport and crash. Don’t really want to head into the city as I’m spending a few days there before we plan to depart

You also now have the option of the TWA Hotel, which is the only one inside the airport precinct (www.twahotel.com). Reviews on Trip Advisor are a bit mixed but seems to be a good option for a one night stay, particularly if you have any interest in aviation history/design.

Both options leave you with plenty of time, so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Back in September-19, My daughter and I flew from Gatwick to JFK on BA2273, landing around 19:30. As we were in business, we came out one of the first of approximately 270 passengers. Yet end up waiting in emigration line for well over three hours (3 hours). It was absolutely horrendous.
