Admitted he did it, doesnt mean he admitted that it was illegal, wrong, chargeable or impeachable.
I see nothing wrong with his suggestion that Biden family get investigated, nor whether he indicated the aid would be withheld (he had no power to do so, and it was paid). There is a lot of merit in asking this for the benefit of national security - it was related to a previous election.

The accusation that his intention was to discredit a political rival for the 2020 election doesnt have a lot of merit. They way I see it, Biden is the least of his concerns come november.

The democrats wanted to impeach Trump since before he took office. They are just so desperate to do it, they did it with half a case. If Trump had of farted in an elevator, they would have jumped on that too.

I'll not respond, however with the repeated suggestion that 'Trump lovers' are universally dishonest, (your repeated bolding) but have to pause that for a minute to respond. Perhaps just calling then the 'deplorables' would work better

Blanket insults of 'the other side' don't work for me.

Soliciting foreign influence into elections is illegal under the American Constitution. Whether its for this election or a previous one doesn't make it any less illegal. That Biden is also a current political foe meant that Trump should've been extra careful, besides, if he wanted Biden investigated, he has his Attorney General (who is just as much a Trump sycophant) to hold the investigation, He didn't need and should not have asked Ukraine to do this.

So unfortunately, whilst you may feel this or that about it, the letter of law is clear, and Trump violated it, and his supporters have basically moved from a position of "he didn't" to" so what?"

We all need to be respectful of others POV. I don't share yours because for me the improvement in economy, jobs etc means nothing if you fail the decent human being test (which I don't think he is)

Impeachment is for high crimes as stated in the Constitution.Fortunately via twitter I was able to view the 2 minutes allowed to Republican reps to cross examine witnesses.
First the 4 law experts.It wasn't a question but they were asked if they thought there was enough evidence to support a prosecution in court would they raise their hands.None did.
Ambassador Sonland-the "star"witness where the quid pro quo came from.He was asked whether he had any first hand evidence of Trump demanding a favour because in his evidence he had said presumed 6 times,I think so 4 times,possibly 12 times and maybe 25 times-the numbers might not correct.The answer-No I have none.

The Senator Rand Paul in his "question"in the senate trial turned out to be a statement.It included the fact that witnesses had heard the whistleblower and a member of Adam Schiff's staff discussing the impeachment of Trump in January 2017.

What I don't get about Trump, is that he is a master con-man, he has even convinced a fair chunk of the population that he's a successful businessman (I suppose playing one on a scripted TV show can help that). And, otherwise seemingly intelligent rational folk can't see this. I'm honestly stunned.

Society is extremely tolerant of poor personal behaviour with a shaky moral compass.
He is smart enough to use his "personality" as a tool to enrage his opponents.
Enraged opponents place themselves at a great disadvantage when competing with a dispassionate foe who is likely a whole lot smarter than he appears.
