Hi Team :)..

Long time reader first time poster.

I was seeking some advice on a up coming trip that I have booked (Qantas web chat appear to be useless).

I have booked ticket with Qantas Syd (QF81) I Class to Singapore and I have a connecting flight to Ho Chi Min with Jetstar Asia (QF515) O class ticket , 2 weeks later I have a return flight through Qantas (QF82) Sing > Syd I Class, all these flights were booked from Qantas and in the same booking. - My status is Bronze QFF
My questions are as follows;

1. At Sydney International , Do I only have access to Qantas Business Class lounge? or Can I use Oneworld Lounges to? I can see "the house" is now Oneworld or is that only for BA?, also are you able to use Emirates lounge as you have a QF business ticket?

2. At Singapore with the connecting flight to ho chi min because I have a return business flight through Qantas do I get access to the qantas lounge? - If not I guess I can use a free pass

3. On the return flight do I get access to all of the Oneworld lounges at Singapore airport? Will this also include the Qatar lounge when its built this year?

On a side note If I get access to I just walk up to them with my boarding pass and can I go to Multiple lounges?

Sorry for the million questions! This would be easier if Qantas just served champagne in their own lounges!! and/or bothered to have competent people manning their web chats.

Thank you for taking the time to read :)

You will have access to QF and EK lounges. No access to The House as it's contracted by BA, although you can pay your way in. My advice - don't bother, just go to EK.

You won't have lounge access included with your ticket. In theory you should be able to use a pass, but another AFF...

You will have access to QF and BA lounges, and you should have access to QR if it's built in time and open (it will likely have odd opening hours). You won't get access to the CX lounge as you need a flight departing T4 in order to pass through T4 security.

Yes, you just need to show your boarding pass, and you can visit multiple lounges if eligible.

Apparently it's possible to hop between terminal 4 at Changi and Terminals 1-3 - I wonder if the reverse is also possible? The process sounds complicated though :(

Complicated and time consuming. I wouldn't bother unless you have a LONG transit; SIN QF J must surely be a better proposition with fewer people in it these days?

Wouldn’t bet on getting access to the QR lounge, I’d guess they would have strict restrictions on entry

Sure, they're unlikely to offer access to OWS/OWE, but what makes you think they wouldn't allow a J traveller in under CoS? That would be in line with what they do at other ports.

sbor90 for your detailed response, I called up QF today and got my lounges passes attached to the Sing>Ho Chi min flight!

Fingers crossed for the Qatar lounge, we fly out in mid august so should be built by then!

I believe from reading posts on other threads that the QR lounge is restricted to QR business ticket holders only. Check out the Lounge Crawl thread which is one that might have further information.

As the OP is arriving on a long haul international business flight, the OneWorld rule allows lounge access on arrival where the connecting short haul is domestic. By “connecting” I am assuming the flights are on the same ticker with same PNR. (I do note that a lounge pass has now been attached anyway.)

The connecting flight can be domestic (any length), or short haul international (under five hours). The flights do not need to be on the same ticket or PNR - just show the connecting boarding pass for lounge admittance.

Qatar Airways Singapore lounge: access rules
Qatar Airways' Singapore lounge is reserved for business class and first class passengers of Qatar and other Oneworld member airlines.

Flying I class so shouldnt have any issues getting in :)

Yes, I just looked up that article as well. I’ll be transitioning through Singapore on the 23rd on QF in J and am also keen to visit.

Can confirm that access to the QR lounge is available under a QF BP (J or F only), did it a month ago. The lounge staff were curious how I managed to access the QF F lounge with a J BP (As they didn't realise the rest of OW allows OWE to access F lounges)

Would (I) still be fine?
