so, apart from SYD > SIN > SFO (direct or via HK) / LAX (direct or via NRT)

any other shorter/quicker options that I could look at booking with KF points.
2A & 1C in J, must be together.

Asiana to LAX via ICN?
any others?

United between AU and US is an option but not sure about availability of 3 seats.

Thanks, Yeah think it'll be hard to get 3 on United.
Will try a search

There's also Air Canada via YVR (although could be also difficult for 3 pax unless you're flying out of BNE on a Tuesday), and possibly Air China via PEK or EVA Air from BNE via TPE.

The best place to start searching would be the United website.

thanks, yep 3pax pretty much gives nothing apart from SQ.

Leaning towards SYD > SIN > NRT (break for 2-3nights) > LAX
can't seen to redeem this online without booking it as separate legs
better to do over the phone i guess?

Well you cannot book a OW rdpt booking with a stopover online if that is your meaning so yes you will need to call

Thanks, still so much to learn.

The return I was thinking from SFO then HK then SIN
