Hi

I am flying with Air Calin next month (SB) code. I have lounge access with Qantas. Will they allow lounge access?

Many thanks

As the flight was booked with Air Calin (SB code) you won't have lounge access unless in Business Class or you hold Air France Flying Blue Gold/Platinum.

If you'd booked with a QF code (only for sale between AU-NOU) then standard QF access rules would apply as if the flight was one operated by Qantas.

Planning trip in Oct, SYD-NOU-SYD but considering HUGE diff in price - booking Aircalin ($580) and QF direct ($1,403) - lounge access for me won't matter. Can use Amex lounge or pick up meals at the PP-affiliated outlets

This can often occur and it's because of the way they sell these flights.

Qantas gets access to around half the plane and Air Calin the other half.

Both airlines treat their half as if it was a seperate flight and sell seats in fare buckets (separately to each other). What's likely happened here is all the Qantas cheaper economy fare buckets have been sold but Air Calin hasn't seen the same demand.

If you ask me it's a strange way to do it and it doesn't seem to be flexible either... so if Qantas has sold all their allocated seats then the flight just shows as sold out (on the Qantas website), even if the Air Calin inventory is still available.
