Hello all,

It looks as though I will be (sadly) moving from amazing Australia back to the USA later this year. And one of the things I'm trying to figure out is the transition from QFF back to AA, since I'll be doing most of my flying with AA once I'm back there.

I've just qualified for another year of QFF SG (and am far from Platinum so can consider myself 'done' with QFF for now. For an upcoming flight , I was thinking of switching the FF program on the booking to my AA number - it probably makes sense to redirect that earn right? And that shouldn't impact my ability to access the J int'l lounge?

Any other suggestions on the matter would be most welcome! :)

If you are moving back to the US and lounge access is important to you (ie. lounge access is more important than the odd random free upgrade to J), you may actually want to continue to maintain QF status since you can get AA lounge access with it even on domestics.

Thanks madrooster, that's an interesting option too...!
