I read about these the other day:

I couldn't think of anything worse in Business. Worst of both worlds in my opinion. I wouldn't be able to lie flat, nor have leg room when sat up. Sounds like Premium Economy. Perhaps that is where it could work.

Thoughts?...

I don't quite see how it'll be comfortable for anyone other than the shortest of people. Plus that curve would make it really difficult to get comfortable. Give me a row of 3 empty Y seats (or better still an actual bed in J) over this thing.

Yeah I can't see how that's comfortable.

No semi-recline for when you're entertaining yourself & can't sleep. It might be possible to lie flat if it's long enough (that foot-rest folds up to provide a flat surface), but given the dimensions of current two-abreast seating I don't think it will be long enough.

I would not pay business fares for those seats. If you want to have a chat with someone, you can go to the bar!

Reminds me of the AirNZ premium seats they came out with a couple of years ago, they didn't have foot rests and were uncomfortable for long hauls.

What stood out to me was the third photo in the article.

When are the overhead bins ever packed like that!

I like the look. As a side sleeper, who couch surfed a lot back in the day - w9th a decent pillow and lightweight doona, I could see myself curling up and sleeping more comfotably than the coffins that are great but impossible to turn over with size 12 feet in those footwells.

for people with bad backs (moi) that looks decidedly uncomfortable
