I was walking from TBIT to my Hotel yesterday morning and noticed the VA check in at LAX is now (back) at T3.

I know it was June when I last checked in and that was at T2, but I do not remember any announcement about it being at T3 since the big DL move of 2017.

In other news, check in opens at 3pm in the afternoon for all evening VA flights while the EK lounge does not open for VA PAX until 5pm.

It was T3 in October 2018 - check in is a breeze compared to the pop-up style kiosk of years gone by. The walk to TBIT is a pleasant, albeit tight curbside affair. You often encounter many overseas tourists having their ciggie break along the way and you have to manoeuvre your rolling luggage around the narrow walkway.

First World Problems though :)

Or you go thru T3 security and take the airside bus round to TBIT, depending on the time of the day, which will be quicker.
Did the curbside walk 2 weeks ago, always nice to catch some 'fresh' air

There is so much going on at LAX - quite a massive redevelopment. We only see the progress once a year, but the transformation is really showing some style. I found the LAX Facebook app is great for updates and current advisories. Every now and then, they upload a time lapse video of a major building milestone - fun to watch for those like me who love this type of construction.

Flew out of LAX in December and then again last month. Found the check in process at T3 very easy, no lines whatsoever, checked in both times around 430pm. Quick walk to TBIT and through security and on to the Emirates lounge. As much as it seems on face value to be a PIA, it's actually all very good.

So glad to hear this. Flying out of LAX on 15 April with VA.

Also, would anyone be interested if I post a flight review? Flying Economy X SYD-LAX and LAX To Brisbane on way back.

Quick walk to TBIT
This is probably one of the few things that I really like about LAX. It's quite simple and quick to just walk between all the terminal if you're pre-security.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Absolutely! There are never enough trip reports for prospective flyers. Especially YX - we are moving our 6 kids there - it's a shame the price was hiked up, but I justify it with the benefits. Look forward to your review :)
