Emirates to axe chauffeur drive on award tickets

i flew first class with Ek a few times from ADL or back and every time they sent some coughpy holden for the pick up-even on a Business ticket I got top of the line Mercedes in Barcelona and Budapest!!!!

Hey, go easy there junior....I just brought a Holden! :)
 
So I've confirmed my CD a few weeks back (even though our SEA hotel isn't finalised, we'll be staying fairly close to where I've booked)

I've only booked the one car, but I'm wondering if we both have 2 suitcases - which I doubt, but 3 could be possible - that it's probably not all going to fit in the one car.

Do we book two cars just in case??
 
Has anyone else's award CD booking now completely vanished from their bookings? My CD's were confirmed and since the tick over to 1 March they've now vanished from the 'Manage my booking' screen on EK's website!!

I also can no longer see this in 'Manage Booking'.

My flight is in 2 days so I'll report back here if there are any issues.

I didn't think to make a screenshot of the confirmed booking before 1 March.
I agree, I now feel a little silly for not taking a screenshot of the confirmed CD booking!!
 
+1 and I are going Syd-Dxb-Lis in EK J in 3 weeks. Hers is with Qf points and mine is paid. I went in last night to cancel her CD bookings as we don't need a car each at either end...I can no longer see her CD bookings but I can still see mine. I guess 2 cars might turn up!!

My booking was showing in EK site yesterday but can’t find it today. On Qantas site I can still book one. I think I have an email somewhere with the booking.
 
I'm trying to open the 'Live Chat' on their website just to confirm, not working though.

It’s not working according to twitface. I’ve just sent them a tweet and a DM. I think the Pakistan issue is creating issues for them at the moment.

I just checked Qantas and I have the opportunity to book chauffeur drive through the "manage my booking" and can select the Qantas award flights on Ek flights.

Has this always been there and I've missed it, or is it new?

Yes. Always been there but best doing it on EK site and for seat selection. I’m not doing anything on Qantas site as it will register as a booking made on March 1.

Guess we should check out flyertalk.

I have booked all of mine with EK direct but never really looked on the Qantas site.

Thankfully I printed out our entire itinerary last week with everything including the chauffeur drive page.

I knew I’d done ‘something’ with my booking but knew I hadn’t seen it for a trip we are doing in May. Doh. Wrong trip. Searched through our Christmas trip and I’d printed the booking off through the EK site. Woot!
 
Got on to Chat finally, CD's are still confirmed, if you email through your itinerary the confirmed CD's will show up.

But it seems that as part of the IT implementation for their CD changes that we won't be able to view any confirmed CD's online in conjunction with an award ticket (because you can't book or change them now).

Well I just emailed the itinerary to myself from the Emirates website and, sure enough, the CD bookings do show! Thanks :)
 
If you go on the Emirates app - manage booking - the tab states 'Book chauffeur drive unavailable' but when you click the tab it pops up with confirmed services :)
 
I need to cancel +1s CD which was booked pre March 1 (we will share a car)....as it is an award flight I can't access the CD booking anymore on the EK website. I guess I could ring EK but can't be bothered. Does anyone know the best way? eg email, chat to contact EK....otherwise 2 cars will turn up!
