Qantas sends out discounts and vouchers to QFF members with birthdays that month. Just got one this morning.

Almost every time I get one of these things, either the discounts offered or the timing involved means they are useless. This time however, I have a trip in a couple of weeks with one place still to book accommodation for. As such, one of the offers in the email might be useful.

Qantas Hotels offers 3 points per A$1 spent. Does this include amounts covered by vouchers?

Yes it does. I recently received points for a hotel stay booked through Qantas hotels. The points earned was calculated on the amount owing before the $30 voucher reduction.

Happy Birthday! I recently used the voucher to book a cheap bed in a dormitory without any additional payment and still earned points even though I ended up not showing up due to illness...

@Himeno, have you booked? I just received a complimentary upgrade and double points offer on select hotel bookings for the next 7 days but not sure if it's targeted...

I just saw the same email. It's only for selected hotels in Australia. Which doesn't cover what I needed.
