Never stayed in nor heard of. Looks like its purely for the Asian market. By the looks of the photos it is up around the IC standard or slightly better although you cant tell by the pictures alone. IMHO Must admit it wouldnt take much to be better than IC SYD.
I always thought the Kimpton brand was meant to fit between CP and IC but my experience put them between HI and CP. So much so I cancelled my remaining 2 bookings and moved myself.

I have stayed at Regent Taipei before, and yes it is a beautiful hotel with great service. It is definitely on par with IC standards, and is definitely better than a number of ICs I have stayed.

They certainly were upmarket in days gone by.Before loyalty programs we stayed at the Regent Sydney-now 4 Seasons-and the Regent Hong Kong-now the IC.Got a fantastic suite upgrade in Hong Kong with a large suite with a table set for 14,it's own butler and views both ways over Victoria Harbour. After us Shirley Bassey moved in.

Well we did keep her waiting. She was seated next to us at brekkie and the GM came over and apologised that her suite wasn't ready-we realised that he was mentioning our suite so took just a little longer lingering over brekkie.:D:D
