it was a generic letter "sorry we ran out of signature cards, here is a green one for a while"
nothing special on the letter. and i chucked it in the bin within about 3 seconds.

I find it interesting that with all other credit cards I have received a welcome pack including a "financial table" or similar listing the credit limit, interest rate, interest free days, fees and charges, etc., etc.

With this one: nothing. Just the card handed to me at the branch after I produced my I.D.o_O

Yeah, they messed up there.

That pack comes separately to the card but clearly they've forgotten to send it to you or it's got lost somewhere.

finally got my green temp card in the mail today..

soo are payments to "the man" are counted towards the $4k minimum?
my welcome letter said it wasn't but points are being paid on the wife's amplify for the same payments (she's had hers for a ~year now)

I think that note is purely to get the bonus from the $4000 spend so don't pick "the man" in your first group of spending.

So the pack has arrived, a couple of days after I picked up the card from the branch.

Still no letter about it being a temporary card!

Very disorganized.

my temp letter was inside the envelope with the card, but came in the mail.
was your card inside an envelope when you went to pick up?

Not sure; originally they just handed me the card, so I asked if there was a welcome pack. The teller went through her rubbish bin and found the instructions on how to activate the card, and gave me that. Who knows what else may have been in the envelope?

just another letter which said this is a green card due to huge demand, with all the same benefits and you will get your black card within 90 days. can scan mine if you like?

would RTA car rego be considered a valid transaction?
its not a "government fee" as such.

I'm trying to find transactions where I can't earn my 2ppd with explorer :p

OK so have joined the churn club and diligently closed a few other credit cards and reduced a few credit limits before applying for the St George Amplify 80K QFF Bonus offer on the 9th, have screen shots saved but I think I may have stuffed up as the closing date of the 23rd Jan is approaching and I have received a conditional or preliminary approval message at the end of the application but when I txted "status" I got the generic "We are working through a large volume of applications" message from St George.

So if I don't see an approval message or a temporary card before the 23rd Jan, would I be advised just to cancel my application and try elsewhere? On the basis that applications approved after the 23rd Jan will not be eligible for the 80K QFF bonus points even if spend criteria are met...

As long as you have applied by the required date, you’ll be fine. I too are waiting for unconditional approval and received the same status message.

Applied for is generally the date to be worried about. Do make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING.

Note that the terms of the offer state:

'Available when you apply for a new Amplify Signature Rewards credit card between 18th December 2018 and 23rd January 2019 and make your first purchase within 12 months of card approval. '

Is this Westpac or Citibank underwriting this card?
Can I have the updated latest link posted please for this offer?
Looking to get.....

It’s westpac. Available in a variety of flavours. See point hacks site for links to BAnk of melb, Bank of SA etc.

The card is treated as a St George bank & affiliates card. Having a card with Westpac in the preceding 12 months will not preclude access to this card offer. For the purposes of bonus points, this card is NOT associated with Westpac at all.

Amplify Signature | St.George

NOTE: 'Existing customers who currently hold a Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA, or who have held one in the last 12 months, are not eligible for this offer.'

For those thinking of getting on to this one time is running out:

'Available when you apply for a new Amplify Signature Rewards credit card between 18th December 2018 and 23rd January 2019 and make your first purchase within 12 months of card approval. '

Has anybody with this card (collecting Amplify or Qantas points) changed programs mid year? If so, what happened to the birthday bonus points? There is a form which allows changing programs and states no points are forfeited (if transferred out within 30 days) but I would like to know if the additional 10% applied on my birthday is calculated on all points or only those earned after changing?

This has been asked previously in a different thread. It was answered at that time:
